Chrystal Chan
Chrystal is a bilingual psychotherapist with experience providing mental health treatment, including planning and case management services for individuals and families that are experiencing mental health symptoms which negatively impact their daily functioning. She is familiar with Special Education, psycho-educational assessments, and navigating the Individualized Education Plan, as she is also a credentialed School Psychologist.
When providing consultations, Chrystal’s main focus is to pay attention to the presenting needs and concerns, in order to fully determine and discuss the best set of subsequent steps. During treatment, Chrystal prioritizes the overall balance of physical, mental, and emotional well-being and health of the individual. She believes wholeheartedly that all individuals can benefit from therapy, as clinicians are often excellent soundboards. When experiencing mental health symptoms, she highly encourages individuals to seek help sooner, rather than later, as symptoms often increase and exacerbate when left untreated. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach to care, as she will often consult with other specialists/providers to learn the “bigger picture” and ensure that the client is receiving the best care possible.

Associate MFT
With an Asian upbringing and having lived in the United States for over ten years, I currently focus on clients with similar cultural backgrounds to mine. My greatest strength is my ability to integrate different resources and present ideas in novel and engaging activities. Being highly observant, I can identify other people’s strengths and talents which allows me to encourage them to better utilize their skills and interests. Having strong interpersonal skills, I know how to quickly establish rapport and build lasting relationships. each person has an inner-child within them. One of my long-term goals is to establish an educational institute for children to develop their full potentials through self-directed studies and interactive learning. Childhood experiences shape and deeply affect how people develop, and many clients need support from capable and trained professionals when facing their emotions or traumas in the clinical setting.
